There’s a goal implemented to reach “zero to landfill” in Dubai. We at Enviroserve appreciate that goal, and we together with Dubai are striving for that goal. At Enviroserve we have the “zero to landfill” policy already set in place, and work according to it. Our main job is to actually segregate all the waste that comes to us, and distribute it for reuse. If anything can be repaired, well make sure it is.
E-waste is the most rapidly growing segment of the municipal solid waste stream and it contains many valuable, recoverable materials such as aluminum, copper, gold, silver, plastics, and ferrous metals. In order to conserve natural resources and the energy needed to produce new electronic equipment from virgin resources, electronic equipment can be refurbished, reused, and recycled instead of being tossed into a landfill.
A circular economy is based on sharing, leasing, reuse, repair, refurbishment and recycling, in an (almost) closed loop, and that is the job we have taken on. Moving towards a more circular economy could deliver opportunities including reduced pressures on the environment; enhanced security of supply of raw materials; increased competitiveness; innovation; growth and jobs.
We thank all the companies and individuals, that the past 13 years have shown their support to the environment by recycling with Enviroserve, and hoping for many more companies and individuals to join.
